What to Bring


What to Bring with you to Stevens Pass
This will be essential for you to show up for your first day with the following items. 

Housing

  • Flannel twin bed sheets – flannel helps keep you warm in the cold winter months – example can be found here.
  • Pillow
    • It is extremely important that you come with bed sheets on your first day in Leavenworth.  We will not be able to provide them to you. 
  • Sleep bag – can be used in place of sheets – make sure it is rated for colder temperatures (32°Farenheit or below)

Clothing
The brands below are only recommended as a reference for warmth and dryness protection.  Many others are available. 

  • Hats/Beanies - Brands to look at: DaKine, North Face, Columbia
  • Jackets/Coats - Brands to look at: Burton, Helly Hanson, Mountain Hardwear, Outdoor Research, 686, Flylow
    • It is good to look for Gortex outwear as the Pacific Northwest and Washington State are very rainy and wet and this material provides great water protection.
  • Winter Boots - Brands to look at: Bogs, Sorel, XtraTuff
    • Make sure they are rated for cold weather to keep your feet warm and dry.
  • Socks - Brands to look at: Darn Tough, Smart Wool, LL Bean
  • Ski/Snowboard Pants/Bibs - Brands to look at: Burton, Helly Hanson,  North Face, Outdoor Research, Flylow

  • Base layers - This will be both tops and bottoms - Brands to look at: Smart Wool, Burton, Patagonia
  • Gloves - Brands to look at: North Face, Dakine, POW, Burton

  • Accessories - Neck Gaiter, Scarves, Boot Chains

These are high quality brands that will keep you nice and warm, especially if you work outside. This type of gear can be really expensive so another option is to shop at second hand/used gear stores. A few blocks from the Greyhound Bus Station a Goodwill Seattle outlet can be found to look for second hand clothing.
